Physicians, especially primary care physicians, often have many more questions during a routine day in practice than they can answer. Currently, these questions tend to go unanswered or are answered with the nearest available resource, often without regard to the validity of the answer obtained. This problem appears to persist despite the recent emphasis on evidence-based medicine and information mastery. The MAHEC Digital Library was created to help address this problem. Our group of physicians and health science librarians have evaluated and selected medical resources that are evidence-based and clinically focused. All resources are electronic so you can access them from anywhere Just one log in and password (your choice) allows you to access all the resources in the digital library. The MAHEC Digital Library is a partnership project of the: J. Otto Lottes Health Science Library @ University of Missouri - Columbia; A.T. Still Memorial Library @ Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine; Ted P. Smith Learning Resource Centre; and Missouri Area Health Education Centers. Funded in part by Grant # 1 G07 LM07776-01 from the National Library of Medicine. |
